With a 4,182 km track length, the Circuito of Estoril was known at the end of the 21st century a true golden age. The circuit was the place of dueling and victories that marked the history of the sport car. And it has previously been on the Ultimate Cup Series calendar twice: firstly in 2019 for the very first year of the championship and then again in 2021 as the super final of the season.
The circuit is vast but technical and features one of the longest straights on the calendar at just under 1km. Two noticeable hairpins and long parabolicas, the circuit lends itself to close racing and has a variety of overtaking hotspots. Situated just over 30km from the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon, the track is a stone’s throw from the coastal city of Estoril, making it a tourist hotspot too.
