The undisputed leader of the championship, Paul Trojani, started the Var weekend in the best possible way by securing both pole positions. Determined to finish the season in style, the young Corsican driver piloted the F3R No. 21 to victory in the first of the three confrontations, thus securing the title on Friday evening.
Trojani’s feat didn’t stop there, as the Graff Racing member hammered the point home on Saturday by winning both races of the day, establishing an absolute record of victories in a single season with no less than 14 successes in 18 races! At only 17 years old, the young man from Bastia, in Corsica, did not hide his satisfaction at the end of the last race: “We have been preparing for this since the beginning of the year. By winning the first three races, we realized that we were immediately in the rhythm without knowing what to expect. Winning 14 out of 18 races, and especially all six races at Castellet, I did not expect to dominate the season so much!”
Without any dispute for the victory, the battle for the podium was no less spectacular, especially among the young talents of single-seaters, such as Gaspard Le Gallais (F3R No. 1/CMR) and Enzo Richer (F3R No. 66/Graff Racing). Making his debut in the discipline and in F3R during this final, Enzo Richer gave the Swiss a hard time, who nevertheless finished second in races 1 and 2. However, he encountered a problem on the last lap of the third confrontation, leaving the field open for Enzo Richer to conclude his weekend in second place and thus achieve a third consecutive podium, offering a masterful double to Graff Racing.
Also noteworthy is the excellent performance of Alban Nerguti (Nerguti Competition), Marius Mezard (Sports-Promotion), and Adrien Hervouet (JRM Racing Team), who treated us to beautiful battles in the middle of the pack.
Already assured of the title in FR2.0, Jordan Roupnel (CMR) did not lower his level this weekend, winning the first two races hands down, with two top 10 finishes. Unfortunately, a mechanical problem forced him to retire during the third race.
