After unveiling the JS Cup with its new GT which will make its debut in France during the 2019 season, the French manufacturer Ligier, announced this week, the launch and creation of the JS P4 Ultimate Challenge, which is going to run at all New Championship, created by Vincent Lookoutr, with the support of the manufacturer Michelin, the Ultimate Cup series, presented last Thursday in Paris during a very follow-up press conference. Even Alain Prost was present!
Ligier’s new JS P4 prototype made its competitive debut in the year 2018.
In 2019, Jacques Nicolet, the businessman who took over and revived the Ligier brand and with a huge commercial and sporting success, thus launches a challenge in the framework of the Ultimate Cup Series, within the category prototypes, the JS P4, rolling with the LMP3.
This challenge Ligier JS P4 Ultimate Challenge, will take place on the last four of the six championship meetings.
The competitors of the JS P4 Challenge will then travel abroad on two events, first at Mugello(Italy) from 28 to 30 June, then to Valencia (Spain) from 27 to 29 September, and then in France, at Magny-Cours from 18 to 20 October and, finally, on the Circuit Paul Ricard, at Castellet, from 1 to 3 November 2019.
The winner of this challenge Ligier JS P4 Ultimate, will be rewarded, on the one hand with a free commitment to the challenge the following year in 2020 and on the other hand also by a commitment offered for the 12 hours of Abu Dhabi, at the end of the season, to month of December 2019.
Remember that this Ligier JS P4 is equipped with a 3.7-litre Ford V6 engine developing 330 horsepower, a six-speed gearbox with paddles to the steering wheel and a centrifugal clutch.
