The British firm Ginetta Cars is delighted to join the Ultimate Cup Series and offer the Ultimate Ginetta Cup (UGC) for the launch of this new class in 2019.
Open to all variants of the Ginetta G55, the UGC is included in the races of the GT Ultimate Cup Series Challenge, reserved only for cars in the GT category.
Competitors and drivers of Ginetta G55 registered in the UGC, are offered the opportunity to compete against each other but also to participate in the UGTX class.
The UGC focuses on endurance racing, providing teams and drivers with numerous tests, long races and good value for money.
A typical race weekend format will include free practice, qualifying and a 4 hour race. In total, at each event, UGC offers between 7h30min and 8h30min driving time, divided between 2 or 3 drivers.
Interview with Mike Simpson, one of the Ginetta Cars factory drivers, says,
“Ginetta is really excited to be working with the Ultimate Cup Series to offer the UGC to our G55 customers around the world. Ginetta is one of the largest producers of GT racing cars since its inauguration in 2007 and, with the support of Ultimate Cup Series and their partners, we are looking forward to developing and expanding racing opportunities for our customers.”
